Disaster strikes fleeing suspect

Wednesday was not a good day for a 26-year-old Phoenix man.

Driving on a suspended license and with outstanding DUI warrants, he decided to make a run for it after he was pulled over by the police for running a red light a little before seven a.m. yesterday morning.

But that’s not the worse part. After he gave the officer his license, he ran behind a convenience store and hid underneath a parked moving truck.

As the officer searched for the suspect, the driver of the moving truck returned to the vehicle and pulled away, running over the suspect. When the officer realized what happened, he stopped the driver and called for help. The suspect complained of back pain.

After treatment, he’ll be booked into jail.
