Hey makeup lovers, if you hate putting on mascara, check this out. The company Allergan, who created Botox, has just been approved in the United States to sell a new prescription. It’s called Latisse and it’s the first prescription product created that will lengthen, thicken and grow your eyelashes.

The chemicals used in this new medication is the same one that is used to treat glaucoma. In fact, a doctor who specializes in treating glaucoma was the first one to realize that the medication was also improving the look of eyelashes in his patients. Latisse was originally created to treat hypotrichosis of the eyelashes, which is when there are too few lashes to protect the eyes. Latisse is approved by the FDA.

To use this product you simply apply it to your eyelid once a day with a disposable applicator. But don’t toss that mascara just yet. To get the effects, you have to always use the product. Stop using it and you go back to your regular lashes. With continued use it can also cause permanent darkening of the eyelid and the whites of the eyes. And it’s not cheap. A one month supply is going to cost you about $120.
