Prehistoric creature rises from the depths of underground river

Here’s something to think about. Could a prehistoric creature survive in an underground river? What lies beneath the surface of our Earth just waiting to be discovered?

In Chelyabinsk City, Russia, construction workers noticed movement in the water of a deep foundation ditch, where they’d tapped into an underground river, so the water never evaporated. Intrigued as to what was living in the water, the workers threw some food in the ditch which caused a frenzy of movement in the water. They panicked but somehow managed to get the “creature” out alive. When it tried to bite them they killed it. They said it was five feet long. So, do you have any idea what this creature is? Take a look at the pictures.

Have you seen this prehistoric monster? Look closely – what in the heck is this thing?

At first I thought it was some weird subspecies of a horseshoe crab. But then after seeing both sides of a horseshoe crab, I changed my mind.

Picture © NOAA

Then I found a picture of a Triop Notostraca and realized that what the men found at this construction site was indeed a prehistoric creature. Scientists believe that the external structure of the Triop hasn’t changed in about two hundred million years and that they are the oldest living animal species on Earth. Triops are similar to horseshoe crabs but they are smaller and have three eyes. They’re also called sheild shrimp or tadpole shrimp. They don’t have antennae like other crustaceans and what appears to be their antennae are their first pair of legs, which are also a sensory organ. When you look at the Triop from underneath, you’ll notice that it has a lot of legs – up to seventy in all.

Picture © MyTriops.com

Picture © MyTriops.com

Triop’s use their three eyes not to see with but to move toward or away from any light in their environment. There are normally more female Triops than male and the eggs can withstand temperatures below freezing up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The egg’s shell is so strong it can even be eaten by another animal, digested and defecated and still hatch. This sturdiness of the egg has to be the main reason that they’re the oldest living animal species on Earth. Most Triops have a life cycle between fifty and ninety days. You can raise Triops in your home aquarium too, which brings me to my next thought.

In the pictures of the prehistoric animal found by construction workers, could that have simply been someone taking pictures of their pet Triop? There’s no way that it was five feet long, the shots were just zoomed in to make it appear bigger than it is. What do you think of this prehistoric monster?

London fright nights to support leukemia charity

If you live in London you may be interested in these upcoming eventsfrom The Anthony Nolan Trust thoughtout the United Kingdom. Prepared to be spooked and spend the night and investigate some of the areas most haunted locations.

Some of these events are not for the faint-hearted. These are intense and frightening experiences but they benefit a very worthy cause. The entry fee covers the cost of the events to ensure that all sponsorship raised supports the lifesaving work of the Anthonoy Nolan Trust, a charity that:

In one sense, all we do is connect people.

We connect one person, whose immune system needs a boost – with another person, who is prepared to share a little of theirs. Matching patients with donors.

Of course, the detail is more complicated.

In the case of leukemia, intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy are used to eradicate the disease. The intensity of these treatments, known as conditioning, has the negative effect of severely weakening the patient’s immune system. The transplant provides the patient’s body with healthy cells capable of regenerating the immune system.

A critical factor in the success of a transplant is the accuracy of the match between the patient’s cell tissue and the donor’s. Timing is also critical: once a patient has chosen to proceed with a transplant, the donor’s tissue – in the form of bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cells – must be available as soon as the conditioning treatment has finished.

If we take this as a rough guide to what we are trying to achieve, it is simple to explain what we do as an organisation.

You must be eighteen years old or older to participate in these events. No alcohol is to be consumed during the event.

Sexorcism Fraud

Last week I was interviewed on the Crossroads Paranormal Radio Show and that’s where I first heard about this story. It amazes me what people will believe. I’m going to tell you what this guy did so that you don’t fall for this type of scam. This happened in Taiwan and thankfully he was arrested and sentenced because of it. So what happened?

According to the The Taipei Times a self appointed shaman, Yang Jih-hua, met a woman back in early 2007 while purchasing lottery tickets. He noticed that the woman was pale and weak so he told her that he had “spiritual powers” and that she should contact him to treat her illness. The twenty year old visited Yang a few days later. He told her that she was possessed by ghosts and that she must visit him one a week for fifty visits so he could do rituals to “drive out the ghosts” inhabiting her body. During a visit in April of 2007 Yang told the victim that she was “possessed by ghosts of those she had harmed in a previous life” and that he should have sex with her to cleanse her of the “ghost’s semen”. He also gave the woman powered medicine. Between April and July of 2007 Yang and the victim had sex thirteen times. The woman’s mother found out that the daughter appeared to be even sicker and then it was discovered she was pregnant. The mom made the girl get an abortion and the DNA test results confirmed the child was Yang’s. In court Yang insisted that Buddha appointed him as a shaman, that he never molested the girl and that he only gave her “treatment and powdered medicine.” The Hsinchu District Court sentence Yang, 59 years old, to six and a half years in prison and convicted him of rape under the pretense of an “exorcism” which has now been dubbed “sexorcism”.

There are holes in this story all over the place. First, what kind of “white powder” Yang gave this woman and why did she willingly take it? This is just some old guy scamming a way to get into a young girl’s pants. Other people may try similar things in the future after seeing this story so don’t fall for this kind of  scam. Don’t believe anyone who tells you something like this. Don’t be gullible. Recognize a tall tale for what it is – a made up story that will only result in some kind of benefit for the person telling it. In past cases on the Psychic Hall of Shame it’s been monetary value but this time it was physical pleasure. Be smart and be wise and don’t believe something like this.

Ronald Nussbeck is offering $10,000 to anyone who can debunk these UFO photos

Calling all scientist’s, MUFON, NASA and governmental agencies from around the world! Ronald Nussbeck is offering $10,000 to anyone who can debunk these UFO photos and prove they are not real.

Now that I have your attention, let me tell you what’s going on.

UFO’s have been a subject of interest for a very long time, not only in the United States but around the world. People have told their abduction experiences, have had unknown materials removed from their body and have experienced missing segments of time. But are these really signs that UFOs exist?

There is now a photographic process called the PPP (Penetrating Photographic Process) which was developed and patented by Ron Montgomery/Stewart. During the penetrating photographic process special equipment uses x-ray, thermo and infrared imaging. Light filters applied during each step in bright or dark areas helps to retrieve detailed data. While the validity of this process has been questioned by doubters because of the details it provides, Mr. Nussbeck is convinced of its accuracy.

Here is one of the photos, used with Mr. Nussbeck’s permission, from the challenge. This photo is of an alien spacecraft, which he named a “Notch Back”. Mr. Nussbeck states that:

“The Notch Back is approximately 50 feet in diameter and it emits a bright light that surrounds the entire craft. Many readers have e-mailed photos, videos or sightings of these craft from around the world. The Notch Back seen here is the same type of craft seen in the NASA STS 75 Shuttle Tether Science Mission video only smaller. As with the STS 75 photos the smaller Notch Back also has pictographs on its Hull of what I believe are the Pilot and Co-pilot of this craft. The Alien on the left is an Humanoid and the Alien on the right is likely a species that is a close relative to Humanoids. The Craft seems to be a smaller version of its Mother ship with its distinctive Notch in the rear and hole in the center. The photo below is of the Humanoid using PPP and X-Ray/Thermo imaging of the face is a penetrating look at what lies beyond the image. A complex circuitry system is seen surrounding the pictograph of the Alien face. PPP has been used on many Alien space craft photos and videos over the last year producing clear images of pictographs on the Hull of every Alien craft. Pictographs seem to be the common factor found on every Alien Craft regardless of type or size.”

According to Mr. Nussbeck, the penetrating photographic process equipment determined that these photos are authentic. He created this challenge and is offering $10,000 for anyone who can debunk the photos and prove that they are not real. He is repeating his original challenge for any doubters who believe that they can debunk the photos.

“I would like to make a public offer to any Scientist that would come forward and challenge the photo authenticity that I agree to make all findings public during the investigation.”

Using the penetrating photographic process, Nussbeck and Montgomery/Stewart have also found evidence of an alien craft including humanoids from a photo captured by Christine Dickey during a thunderstorm. The people involved in PPP are willing to give a live demonstration by video conference that shows exactly how the process works. They will enhance one window of the craft in Ms. Dickey’s photo and a demonstration on the STS-75 Shuttle Tether Alien Carft. Both demonstrations combined last approximately fifty minutes and will be followed by a twenty minute question and answer session. If you are qualified in this field (optical scientists, ufologists, optical engineers or PH.D. with field experience) and would like to take part in this “invitation only” event please apply by sending your request to profindsearch@gmail.com. You will be required to provide proof of your identity and the organization you represent. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Ronald Nussbeck has researched UFOs for over ten years, has worked closely with Ron Montgomery/Stewart, the scientist responsible for the development of the Penetrating Photographic Process. Mr. Nussbeck is considered an expert when it comes to UFOs and aliens. He has written numerous articles, two books titled The Deception and Retribution and is a best-selling author for his publisher. He has also been published several times in UFO Digest, has done extensive work within the scientific community on the subject of UFOs and author Ian Brockwell has also written about Mr. Nussbeck’s work.

I would like to thank Mr. Nussbeck for allowing me to post one of the photographs with this article. This is the first time they have granted permission for one of their photographs to be used and I appreciate that he approved my request. Thank you.

To see all of the photos involved in the challenge please visit this link and try to debunk them yourself for a chance at the $10,000. To contact Mr. Nussbeck directly, please send an email to rnsuitcase@aol.com.

April 2009 Tarotscopes by Arwen

Welcome to a monthly feature here at the Paranormal Examiner site, Monthly Tarotscopes with Arwen, President of the American Tarot Association. After discussions with Arwen, she has graciously agreed to present her monthly Tarotscopes here for my readers. I’ve been listening to her Tarotscope podcast for a while now and have found them to be very accurate. So check back here every month to listen to your Tarotscope.

I’ll keep a link to this page in the sidebar lists so you can easily access the monthly Tarotscopes. In the future I’ll also keep the previous forecasts at the bottom of this page so you can refer back to them when the month is over.

This is a wonderful new feature that I’m really excited to present to you. Thank you Arwen for being part of the site.

April Tarotscope:

About Arwen: Arwen began reading the Tarot in 1980 when a friend handed her the Thoth deck. She didn’t really like the Thoth deck then (her opinion has changed since) so moved on to the Herbal Tarot which she still has in her collection of Tarot decks.

Her fascination with this introspective divination system grew as did her bookstore bill. She began to read for friends to see if her readings were correct. What she learned surprised her and her friends as she began to open up on psychic levels as well as intuitive. Her friends began referring their friends to her and Arwen finally began to read for people she didn’t know.

Her online business Tarot By Arwen was launched in 2002. She became the president of the American Tarot Association in 2007. Her interests are very eclectic but her approach to the Tarot is on a Jungian basis.

Arwen sees the Tarot as a tool to help see things that need to be seen. Rather than doing strictly divinatory readings, Arwen attempts to deliver readings that gently guide you to taking charge of your own life and making your own decisions.

She is fond of comparing the Tarot to looking at a road map. “If the map says bridge out ahead, what fool is going to keep driving?” is something her clients know by heart. Self-responsibility is the key to getting the most from a reading with Arwen.

Rather than charge by the minute, Arwen charges by the spread. Each session is left open in terms of time so there is not overriding sense of urgency. Her compassionate readings will help you see things that you need to embrace as well as things you need to work on.

To schedule your reading with Arwen, please email her. Find new tools to deal with old problems through a personal consultation with Arwen.

Images of Jackie and Sarah, Queen Mary ghosts captured in Nightvision IR video

Recently I published the announcment of new recorded evidence of ‘Jackie’ the Queen Mary talking ghost child and thought it was so impressive that I named it as the top paranormal event of 2008. Recently Ed Weibe let me know about a video that was shot on the same day that Bob Davis, CEO of Planet Paranormal Broadcast Network and Planet Paranormal Investigations, and teammate Brian Clune captured audio of Jackie, the ghost child from the Queen Mary in an amazing conversation.

The following video was captured by members from Darkness On The Edge of Town Radio. This is a great video. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for letting me know about it Ed.

What the heck are these things?

Don’t you just love YouTube? I’ve found some things on there that really make you stop and say, what the heck is that? Here are two different videos that I’d like your input on if you’d like to comment.

This video was sent to me by a reader who thought it was “very cool”. It looks like a spirit trying to manifest. In fact that’s what the poster, Constantine99999 says it is. He’s got some pretty amazing videos on his YouTube site. To me this one looks real.

This next one was taken during a thunderstorm in Germany. A strange apparition appeared above a house during the storm. What do you think this is? Is it real or fake? Or a reflection of something that’s behind the camera in the window? I’m not sure I’ve decided yet.

Update on San Mateo psychic who took $80,000 from an 85 year old woman

Janet Adams from Psychic & Crystal Vision shop

Janet Adams, 46, (pictured above) is being held on $500,000 bond at a San Mateo County Jail. She was arrested on December 18, 2009 after her victim’s husband learned about the withdrawals from his wife. So what exactly happened? Here’s the story. Janet owns the “Psychic and Crystal Vision” shop in San Mateo’s Laurelwood shopping center. Her victim, an 85 year old woman, said she visited the shop “on a lark” last January for a tarot reading according to Steve Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County’s chief deputy district attorney.

Adams convinced the elderly woman to come back for another reading, during which Adams began to shake and cry. She told the victim that her husband would die of a heart attack is she didn’t immediately pay $13,000 for “special prayers” the prosecutor said.

So what does the elderly lady do? She went and got the money. At another visit, Adams told the woman that her own husband was in the hospital and would die without treatment so the elderly woman gave her another $9,000. Then Adams says her husband died, she needed money to help pay for the funeral. Then her son needed medical treatment. You see how this is going right? When it was all said and done, the woman gave Adams over $80,330.

This isn’t the first time that Adams has pulled this kind of stunt. In 2004 she went to prison for two years on a theft conviction when she worked as a palm reader at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, according to authorities.

Can you believe that she pleaded “not guilty” to the charges? If you live in the Bay area, stay far away from Janet Adams and the Psychic and Crystal Vision shop in San Mateo.

Update: Adams is about to lose her business. She signed a rental agreement back in December 2006 but the landlords have now taped a notice to “pay rent or quit” on the shop door. She currently owes $427 for rent and common area expenses. Since Adams was arrested more victims have come forward. Dianna Czellecz paid $1000 to Adams last year while she battled alcoholism. Adams gave her cash for prayers and crystals and in return Adams gave her a Glade candle with the label peeled off to “ward off evil spirits”. She could have gotten that at the grocery store for a couple of bucks.

Psychic scams $108,000 out of love sick woman and gets two months jailtime; victim dies from cancer

Psychic Hall of Shame

Nothing boils my blood quicker than fraudulent psychics who rip people off. With the world the way it is, people need help and that doesn’t mean you have to line your pockets to help them. This week alone I’ve done more free readings than I’ve done paid readings and I think other real psychics should do the same. Most will probably disagree with me but then again, we’re on different paths because I don’t think having psychic abilities should be about making money from them but should instead be about helping others. Now, don’t get me wrong, I think psychics should charge something because the time and energy they put into their readings has value, but ripping people off – that’s wrong.

Because I’m so sick of seeing this happen over and over again, I’m starting a “Psychic Hall of Shame” for those people who are preying on others while they claim to have “psychic powers” and get arrested for it. I actually hate that term. Having abilities is a gift, now a power.

I’m doing this for two reasons. The first is to say “Shame on you, fake psychic, for taking advantage of people in need”. The second is to put this information out in one place so that people will find it online and be wary of how a fake psychic conducts themselves. It is my hope that people will stop believing in these liars and frauds by noticing the signs that they aren’t what they seem. If they ask you for large amounts of money, ask to to return for more and more readings, give you a sob story about why they need money or promise that they can win back your lover, cast evil spirits from you or any other nonsense like that – then stay away from them and report them to the police.

Psychic scams $108,000 out of love sick woman and gets two months jailtime. Victim has since died from cancer.

Lisa Marie Miller, 27, (pictured above) of San Francisco advertised herself as a psychic in a newspaper that said her readings were ten dollars. Miller convinced one of her customers that she needed “spiritual cleansing” that cost $108,000. Big jump from her original ten dollar reading wouldn’t you say?

Here’s the story: the woman contacted Miller back in 2005 after she saw that ad for a ten dollar reading. She went to the Miller because she “was in love with a fellow who was not returning her affection,” said Deputy District Attorney Cherie Bourlard. Miller convinced the woman that she was cursed and need to be cleansed spiritually. So the woman gave Miller $108,000 from her checking, savings, and retirement accounts plus she gave her other cash, jewelry and gift cards. Miller even convinced the woman to finance a Corvette for her.

The woman figured out something was wrong and went to the police when she saw that Miller’s mother-in-law, Lola Miller who went by the name “Miss Donna”, had been arrested for taking $450,000 in cash and services from a San Jose woman. Lola Miller read the victim, said both the victim and her family were cursed and that she’d cleanse them of evil for money and threatened the victim. I guess thievery runs in this family because Lisa Miller’s sister-in-law, Danielle Miller, 23, is accused of stealing $36,000 from a woman to cleanse her of evil, prosecutors said.

Lisa Miller pled no contest in September to one count of theft by false pretense and has been ordered to pay full restitution, sentenced to two months in jail and five years probation. She was barred from ever again engaging in any kind of psychic reading.

There’s a sad ending to this story. The woman that Lisa Miller victimized has since died of cancer. Her husband said he will donate all of the money paid back to cancer research.

Extra shame on your Lisa Miller for taking advantage of a woman dying with cancer.

‘Spiritual adviser’ charges $10,000 to “drive away evil spirits” – Now she’s charged with theft! Good!

Gina Reed, 35, (pictured above) of South Arlington Heights Road, was charged with one count of felony theft by deception according to a Chicago police statement. Investigators believe that Reed has stolen as much as $98,000 from at least four other victims with the promise that she would drive away evil spirits and bless them.

Here’s the story: Back in August of 2007 a woman went to Reed’s home for a reading. Reed told the woman that she would bless her and drive away evil spirits for $10,000 and she’d return the money once the blessing was done. After the “blessing” the victim tried repeatedly to find Reed, who disconnected her phone, moved and made no effort to contact the woman.

Police were notified by a lot of people that they’d gone to Reed’s home and she took large sums of money from them. Upon investigation, Reed was arrested. During their investigation detectives discovered that Reed was working out of two other locations – one on East Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights and the other in the 1800 block of North Clybourn Avenue. If convicted Gina Reed faces two to five years in prison.
