Salads are a great way to create a quick and easy healthy meal that you can enjoy at home or take with you on the go. Sure, you can drive though one of the fast food places and get a quick salad but it may not be as fresh as one you prepare yourself.

You might think that you just don’t have the time to put together a salad. Here’s a helpful hint: on your day off from work prepare small dishes of vegetables, sliced onions, ham and other salad ingredients and prepare one big dish of shredded lettuces. Then, all you have to do is take out the dishes – I like to use the plastic throwaway types with lids that you can get at your local grocery store – open the lids and grab from each dish, placing the ingredients in a bowl or larger portable plastic dish to take with you. It’s quick and easy!
